‘Gotham’ season 3: Executive producer shares photos of Morena Baccarin, Michael Chiklis’ return!

For varying reasons, the status of Morena Baccarin and Michael Chiklis moving into “Gotham” season 3 was in question. Starting with the former, it’s been some time since we saw Lee Thompkins thanks to Baccarin’s maternity leave, and it would have been understandable had the show opted to not give us much more of her in the early going. After all, it could’ve taken a while in order for Jim Gordon to find her!

Therefore, we’re rather happy to see this is not the case, as executive producer Danny Cannon posted last month a photo of Baccarin back on the set. We’re not sure if Lee and Jim are getting back together in the near future, but he has vowed to do everything in his power to try to make things right.

Meanwhile (and more recently), Cannon also shared a photo of Chiklis as Nathaniel Barnes, a man who was almost killed off by Azreal during the second season of the show. Given that he’s back at work in a suit and tie, it certainly appears as though he’s recovered, and he’s back to making the streets as safe as possible. In a world where there are so many characters who live within a gray area (both in terms of on this show and in TV in general), we do really like that Barnes is a guy who perceives things as more black and white, and tries to interpret his job based strictly on the law.

Hopefully, we’ll have some other teases on “Gotham” over the coming weeks…
