‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ episode 3 preview: A speed bump and more intensity in Vietnam
We spent the first two episodes of “The Amazing Race Canada” this season in the great white north, so isn’t it about time the show engages in a little bit more international travel? That does seem to be the case moving into next week’s episode.
The remaining nine times are now moving out to Vietnam, and with this new destination comes many different challenges both physical and mental. For one, the heat is going to be an incredible hindrance on the majority of the teams. Anne & Tanya in particular look like they are having a hard time in the conditions, and one of them may need a little bit of medical attention at one point.
Meanwhile, the stress of the language barrier coupled with some hard challenges could send some teams over the edge. Jillian & Emmett have squabbled quite a bit given that they’ve finished in first place the past two episodes; don’t you imagine that they are going to crack when things really stop going their way? We still don’t remember these two being as combustible on “Big Brother Canada”; maybe that is just selective memory on our part. It also looks like mother / daughter duo Frankie & Amy could get into it, which bums us out slightly since they’ve been a real pleasant surprise so far.
The biggest obstacle to come is likely going to be for Kelly & Kate, who are coming off of a last-place finish and now have to complete a Speed Bump. The flight to Vietnam will probably be an equalizer, so from here the challenge becomes finding a way to complete all of the other tasks quickly. Given what we’ve seen of them through two legs, we’re now that optimistic.
