‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Raphael Sbarge (finally) returning as Archie
We’ve heard a few times over that the sixth season of “Once Upon a Time” is going to be more like the first season or two than anything we’ve seen since, and once you consider that, it definitely feels right we’ll be seeing a familiar face from the early days in the process.
According to a report from TVLine, Raphael Sbarge will be appearing in at least the season premiere as Archie a.k.a. Jiminy Cricket, and based on what co-creator Adam Horowitz tells the website, he’s going to have a new patient!
Sbarge has been largely absent from the show save for some sporadic appearances the past few years, and we certainly hope that he will stick around for a little while since he was one of our favorites from the start of the show’s run. To us, the more we get a chance to see characters from earlier in the series, the happier we’ll be. We know that Sbarge has “Murder in the First” and David Anders has “iZombie,” but why not use them as much as possible? Of course we’d be thrilled to have more Meghan Ory even if Red’s love story was slightly tied together with Dorothy this past season; as for Jamie Dornan, Sheriff Graham is dead, and that does alleviate the problem that he is probably unavailable in the first place.
Specific details on season 6 are not necessarily clear, but we do at least know for certain that there will be a continuous arc rather than half-seasons of the show this time around. Not only that, but you better be prepared to see various characters from The Land of Untold Stories.
