Is ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 6 new tonight on TNT? The path ahead

The past few weeks have been particularly great for fans of “Rizzoli & Isles” on TNT, given that they have offered up a series of new episodes every week in an effort to dive you back into the world of Jane and Maura. We’ve been reintroduced to these characters, learned about what is going on in their lives, and have also looked a little bit more at what their future could be. For Maura in particular, we’ve had an opportunity to see her recover from some recent ailments that made her question her future job status.

Now that we’ve said all of this, we better get ready for a break given that there is no new episode coming to TNT tonight. Why? The answer really speaks for itself: It’s the Fourth of July, and as a result of that it makes sense that the network wouldn’t want to burn off one of their final remaining episodes on a night where there simply would not be a whole lot of people around to watch it.

So what is the schedule trajectory looking like for the remainder of the season? We know that the next new installment entitled “There Be Ghosts” airs next week, and from there we know that “Dead Weight” is coming the week after on July 18. It’s possible that there will be another installment on July 25.

As for when the next major scheduling dilemma could come for the show, we’re thinking along the likes of August given that this is when the Olympics are going to roll around and eventually mess up every other schedule out there.
