‘Code Black’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Heroes: Reborn,’ ‘Flesh and Bone’ alum among latest castings
It may still be months until “Code Black” premieres for its relatively-revamped second season on CBS, but that is not stopping us from sharing some of the latest casting news now!
It was reported some time ago that some new residents would be cast for the show, with the idea here being to mimic a real-life hospital environment where there are constantly people coming in going. Per Deadline (who first reported the castings), show creator Michael Seitzman had the following to say:
“We conducted a wide search for actors to play our newest young residents and these three burst to the top … All three are tremendous, wildly compelling actors.”
Here are these said castings:
Nafessa Williams (“Twin Peaks”) – She is taking on the role of former child star Charlotte Piel, someone who changes careers and opts to try and become a doctor.. We remember this role clearly thanks to it being such a unique one during the casting process.
Noah Grey-Cabey (“Heroes: Reborn”) – His role is that of Elliot Han, a nice, intelligent doctor who despite performing well in school struggles with the sheer amount of people at this hospital.
Emily Tyra (“Flesh and Bone”) – Finally, she is set to be Dr. Noa Kean, another incredible competent doctor who comes from a hard upbringing. She doesn’t really mess around, and for whatever reason, the casting notice mentions that she likes to surf. We’re not really sure how that applies to the show, but we’ll roll with it for now.
