‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ episode 2 preview: More thrills in Calgary

During the first episode of “The Amazing Race Canada” this season, we had a challenge that forced teams to be suspended in the air trying to complete tasks in the wilderness. Next week, apparently we’re going to have a challenge themed more around trying to catch a bus.

Of course, we’re being slightly hyperbolic about the insignificance of this upcoming task, since it is probably much more difficult than it seems on the surface judging from the preview that aired at the end of the premiere. What we know for certain is that we are heading to Calgary, which is going to be a fun setting for some various tasks. Apparently, we’re also going to have something that tests the remaining combatants’ fear of heights, which does seem slightly like overkill given what we have seen in the premiere.

Jillian & Emmett are entering this leg in first place, and while we would understand if you were to label them the favorites to win this season right now, it’s a little bit more complicated than that. These two are going to have to really work at it to keep from arguing with each other extensively, given that this is something we saw in this episode as a situation that could boil over at almost any given second.

Meanwhile, Kelly & Kate are going to have their work cut out for them starting in last place and taking a penalty. Maybe they will benefit somewhat from an equalizer, but they also need to develop a little bit more of a killer instinct if they want to be considered a real contender to win.
