‘Mr. Robot’ season 2 continues episode-title / synopsis tradition
When it comes to format and style, “Mr. Robot” on USA is a show really unlike any other one that exists out there on TV. Even aside from the show itself, even the way it is promoted is different. One of its calling cards during season 1 is that it had episode titles that were effectively filenames and also synopses that were written often in broken English, with only a few recognizable elements and teases.
Now, we are pleased to see that these are coming back for the upcoming July 13 premiere, which carries with it the title of “eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc; eps2.0_unm4sk-pt2.tc.” Meanwhile, the synopsis below offers up some other insight:
“back. one month later and omfg, five/nine changed the world. elliot in seclusion. angela happy at evil corp. fsociety delivers malicious payload. TANGO DOWN?”
Specifically, we’re happy that this description does confirm that there is a small time jump for one, and that we’re going to see Elliot continue to be reeling to a certain extent from what happened in the first season of the show. We imagine that for this character it’s going to be in one way or another an ever-continuing struggle to work his way through his struggles, but we have seen his capabilities and what his true self can bring. This is a brilliant show, one that will force you to think, and one that will have you even question the main character and search for the truth. Maybe by the end of the premiere, you’ll have a few more answers as to what the direction of Elliot’s life will be now.
