‘American Horror Story’ season 6 unveils (incredibly cryptic) first key art
The sixth season of “American Horror Story” is going to be premiering on FX this October, but for one reason or another, FX really is not that interested in having you know too much about it for the time being, which is interesting because usually by now we know a lot more then this time around.
If you look above, you can see what is the latest promotional art for the show, which tells you absolutely nothing about theme … other than that the network wants it to remain a mystery for a little while longer. In past years, we have known at least a few details about the upcoming season at around this point, or at least confirmation on a few cast members. The only person officially set in stone for season 6 is Cheyenne Jackson, though we know that many other longtime cast members have been invited back.
For now, we’re fine with keeping things under wraps, though we really don’t think figuring out the theme should be the show’s #1 priority. More so than anything else, it should be trying to simplify the order of things… specifically we are talking about the absurd amount of cast members. The past two seasons have featured a cup running over when it comes to storylines and actors. There were some interesting storylines last season including Iris’ history and the infected kids that were worthy of so much more screen time, but ultimately did not get the attention that they deserved because there was way too much going on. We want to see this show stripped down to a smaller cast and a focused story, much like season one.
Given that the show is not coming to San Diego Comic-Con this summer, there is still no indicator as to when the show is going to make more announcements, but we will be here when they do, so make sure you come back often.
