‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Prepare to meet Morpheus!
Is the upcoming sixth season of “Once Upon a Time” about to get a little dreamy? You may wonder that after getting the latest bit of casting intel.
According to a new report coming in right now from TVLine, the show on ABC is getting set to introduce the character of Morpheus, otherwise known as the Greek God of dreams. Clearly, we’re not moving on entirely from mythology following the appearances of Hades and Hercules on the show in season 5, and there are still others to come!
This one does make sense, at least in that dreams have been a key plot device for much of the series, and we’ve seen characters try to navigate through them and understand them better. Having someone on the show who is billing themselves as a “god of dreams” could be a little bit of a tricky proposition, at least in terms of the fact that they could be either really helpful, or terribly destructive on a psychological level. Dreams can cause you to lose sleep, and in turn mess up almost everything when it comes to your life.
New episodes of the show will premiere this fall on ABC, and judging from how intrigued we are already about this character after this brief description, we really hope that ABC does not force us to wait too long when it comes to learning who is playing the character and then seeing them in the flesh.
