BET Awards 2016: Beyonce, Drake & Future, Bryson Tiller among winners

Tonight, the BET Awards are airing on the network of the same day, and we’re here now to present the full lists of results on the night! Of course, this is a list that is going to be updated over the course of the night with more. What does make this show especially interesting and different from most others (other than maybe the Teen Choice Awards / People’s Choice Awards) is that there are winners from almost every different segment of entertainment.

Ultimately, we expect most of the night to be predictable. We’ll see if there are a few surprises sprinkled in here.

Centric Award – Beyonce, “Formation.”

Best Group – Drake & Future. Personally, we’ll always remember them separately first and foremost.

Male R&B Artist – Bryson Tiller. (For those wondering, Tiller also won Best New Artist.)

Best Actress – Taraji P. Henson. Congrats to the “Empire” star! In between this and a Golden Globe, this has been a great year for her.

Best Actor – Michael B. Jordan. He should’ve gotten more love for “Creed.”

Video of the Year – Beyonce, “Formation.”

Gospel / Inspirational Award – Kirk Franklin.

Male Hip-Hop Artist – Drake.

Sportswoman of the Year – Serena Williams.

Sportsman of the Year – Steph Curry.

Viewers’ Choice – Beyonce, “Formation.”

As we said, in the end there were not necessarily a whole lot of surprises on the night given that the majority of recipients you could have seen coming a mile away. Still, we gotta admit that we’re happy for many of them, and it’s hard to see the awards going in any other direction in the end.
