‘Silicon Valley’ season 4: Premiere date speculation, hopes for HBO comedy
Tonight, the story for “Silicon Valley” is going to end for the summer with an episode that will touch on (hopefully) some big issues involving the future of Pied Piper. As of this writing, we know at the very least that the company is pressing onward, even under somewhat-dishonest circumstances thanks to the big play that Jared made with storing some active users overseas.
Tonight, we should learn a thing or two about where we are going in season 4 (which has already been ordered), but writing this article beforehand, it’s hard to speculate on that. We’ll have a little bit more of a specific wishlist up tomorrow, but our primary hope for now is that we don’t go backward. We still think that Pied Piper can be enormously successful, and the show remain hilarious.
With that said, at least now we can answer the question as to precisely when the fourth season is going to air. Odds are that we’re going to see a spring launch yet again, at least given that this is the way that the show has aired so far. Also, HBO already has “Girls” set up for the winter, so unless they do some really bizarre things with the schedule, it’s hard to imagine many significant changes there.
The only thing that may be different here has to do with how the show could be structured, since if the episode count ends up being larger than “Game of Thrones” (which is likely, given that season 7 of this show may be only seven episodes), we could see the show for the first time airing without that incredible lead-in giving it a boost.
