‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 spoilers: A ghost story

The seventh season of “Rizzoli & Isles” is going to keep pressing on with new episodes on Monday night, though along the way there is going to be a little bit of a break in the action. After all, the Fourth of July is a little over a week away, and there will be no new episode because of that. (Why would the show want to lose viewers on the night? TNT doesn’t want that, even if this is the final season of the show.)

When we return on Monday, July 11, we’ll be doing so with an episode entitled “There Be Ghosts” that sounds to us like it’ll be a lot of fun. There are out-there mysteries and grounded mysteries with this show, and based on the synopsis below, we’re counting on this to be more of the former:

“Jane and Maura must unravel an old ghost story in order to solve a double murder at a hospital. Angela convinces Frankie to stop avoiding Kent and accept his invitation to a concert.”

There will obviously be more going on in this episode beyond just this, but this is clearly just what TNT is willing to give us for now. Given that this will be around the midway point of the season at the time in which it airs, we’d be disappointed if the show doesn’t at least start to set up better some of the events that are going to define the end of the series. You don’t want to conclude the story out of the blue.
