BET Awards 2016: Where to live stream red carpet pre-show, backstage action

Tonight, the BET Awards are coming on the air, and with that, of course there’ll probably be a number of dynamic performances, big reveals, and a lot of other stuff. The awards themselves start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and without a cable package there’s no real way to watched the awards through an authorized channel.

With that being said, there are some ways that you can check out both the red carpet pre-show and some of the action backstage live!

Let’s start here with the red carpet. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time (2:00 p.m. Pacific), you can see some of the stars arriving at this link. There’s no guarantee that every attendee of the show will walk the red carpet, but there’ll be no better showcase of the fashion from this evening’s show.

Meanwhile, you can watch the backstage cam starting at 8:00 p.m. over here. It may be best to think of this as a fun companion to the show itself, or something to check out during commercial breaks as you can see more reactions to awards and preparation taking place back there. It’s ultimately another way to make you feel like you are a part of the show! Usher, Future, Alicia Keys, Bryson Tiller, Maxwell, and more have been booked to perform over the course of the broadcast, and you better believe that there is a big Prince tribute that is in the works. Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross are going to be the hosts for the evening.
