‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ premiere: Off to Yellowknife?
At this particular point in time, we’re so excited about the premiere of “The Amazing Race Canada” season 4 that we will take whatever little tease that we can, even if it is on something as small as a location tease.
Based on the post below from the show’s official Twitter account, Yellowknife is going to be the setting for at least part of the premiere episode airing on Tuesday. This excites us greatly. We’ve always had a fascination with the Canadian north and its vast wilderness, and this is also the sort of place that does not really get shown much on TV. We’ve been very interested in getting some actual contestants from this region on Canadian reality shows, and while we haven’t really had a chance to see that just yet, we’re hoping that we will at some point in the future. We do like that there is a team of First Nations people on this season, and that’s something that is relatively new in its own way.
As for what sort of adventures await the teams there, clearly there’s going to be at least something that involves ATV travel. In general, we imagine the challenges to be very outdoorsy since so many traditions in the Northwest Territory rely heavily on the land. Also, you have to take advantage of that landscape as much as possible.
Don’t worry; we’ll be back with full impressions and much more when we review the premiere episode this coming week.
