‘Criminal Minds’ season 12 spoilers: Expect more fallout from Morgan’s exit
There is a tendency sometimes with TV shows to never really mention someone again the moment that they are written out of a show, and that can be frustrating since we as viewers do have a tendency to get super-attached to them.
Luckily, “Criminal Minds” looks as though it is going to give us quite a bit of story coming up in the future when it comes to Morgan’s exit, even though it will have been many months since Shemar Moore’s departure when the show premieres this fall. Speaking per TV Guide, executive producer Erica Messer specifically that Reid is going to continue to have a hard time not have him around:
“We will [touch on it] because again it’s real … You don’t just get over losing your best friend at work. That is something that changes your day. You adapt and you move on, and life goes on. It’s not like he’s lost him from his life forever; he can always call Morgan. I don’t know how much we’ll play it actively, but I think it’s one more layer that all of them can tap into as we move into Season 12.”
Will there be new friendships forged with Adam Rodriguez’s character when he turns up? Probably so, but we would be wrong to think that he will just turn up and be every bit as close to the rest of the team as Morgan once was. These are different people, and with that of course are going to be some different relationships. One way or another, we’re excited to see what unfolds.
