‘Outcast’ episode 5 preview: Taking challenges (and getting turned away)

Outcast -Tonight’s new episode of “Outcast” proved itself to be a fairly entertaining affair, mostly in giving us a couple of different stories with different layers … plus an interesting suggestion: Is it possible that Allison is not completely healed? Maybe we’ll get some further insight on the next new episode.

You can see the promo for this episode below, but we’re not exactly going to say that Cinemax has chosen to just give us a wide range of information here as to what to expect. It’s more or less just a stream of various little events that play out in rapid time, ones that give us very little information other than that this episode is going to be more of what we’ve come to enjoy so far.

For us, probably the biggest surprise here is that it seems like Cinemax is going to go ahead and give us a new episode next week, despite it being the Fourth of July Weekend. There are a number of other networks that are declining against airing some of their shows even remotely close to the holiday, and with this reason in mind. There’s a general understanding that this night can be ratings vacuum, and nobody wants to compete against it if they have any sort of choice on the matter.

Then again, maybe Cinemax feels a little differently since many of their viewers watch whenever they want, and live ratings are not exactly essential to their model of success. Stay tuned, as we’ll have more on this episode soon.
