‘Murder in the First’ season 3 spoilers: Pressure and politics
After a week’s delay due to some schedule tweaks on TNT, “Murder in the First” is going to be airing its first episode of the season on Sunday, one that will kick off what is a super-intense narrative that will run for the remainder of the year of it. At its core is going to be the death of a high-profile athlete, and a manhunt that will lead to Terry shooting someone who turns out to have been unharmed at the time. The end result of this is going to throw San Francisco into a state of panic.
The first two episodes of the season airing on Sunday and then on July 3; by the time we get to the July 10 episode entitled “Black and Blue,” things are going to get a little bit intense. The synopsis below, courtesy of SpoilerTV, makes that more clear than ever:
“Public pressure on Terry and the SFPD continues to rise for the shooting death of an unarmed suspect. Hildy tracks down the fugitive in the Normandy Parker murder. Arkin advises Siletti to reconcile with his wife, as she may be the key to winning – or losing – his case.”
Hopefully through this story we’ll start to figure out exactly if there is a way for these characters to recover following this shooting. It’s going to be difficult for all of them to move forward otherwise, since the city could end up having enormous ramifications of many of these characters’ careers. We’ll have further news on the series soon…
