‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ video: Prepare for Jillian & Emmett and so much more

“The Amazing Race Canada” is almost here! The new season starts on Tuesday, and based on the promo below this could be one of the most competitive seasons to date.

If you haven’t watched this version of the show yet, you really should. It’s better than the US version these days, and we don’t say that lightly as we have been fans of the US version since it started and have watched every season. It just feels like the Canadian version is not only cramming in more content, but they are also giving us more of a narrative where you learn more about the teams, and also more about the locations visited. Sure, you don’t often get a show that is as global in scale (there are many legs just in Canada), but given how vast this country is and how there are parts of it we’ve never really seen on television, we’re more than fine about this.

From a casting point of view, of course we’re happy to have “Big Brother Canada” alumni Jillian & Emmett on this season, even if they weren’t together at the time in which this was filmed. We’d be watching and enjoying it regardless, but they have to be the consensus favorite right now just because we know how big of competitors the two of them are. It’ll take a Herculean effort from some other teams to take them down.

Overall, the promo is exciting, fun, and a reminder of why we’re thrilled to be covering this show once again. We’ll have our first review up not long after the show premieres.
