‘America’s Got Talent’: Louis Tomlinson, George Lopez, Reba McEntire, Ne-Yo to guest judge
Last year, “America’s Got Talent” found a way to make the middle rounds of the competition exciting, which is something that we’ve admittedly been craving since the very beginning. For the Judge Cuts round, we get to see more performances, golden buzzers, and other good stuff before the live shows. It’s basically more of what we love from the show without any of the negative stuff.
As for who is going to be serving as the guest judges for this round (complete with their own respective buzzers), it is the roster of Louis Tomlinson, George Lopez, Reba McEntire, and Ne-Yo. Sure, there are a lot of singers here, but it’s certainly a diverse group in terms of the sort of insight they bring to the table. Tomlinson’s been around the world with One Direction and is close to Simon Cowell; meanwhile, Lopez is one of the biggest comedians out there. Reba has done all forms of entertainment, and Ne-Yo is gifted as both an artist and producer.
With all of this being said, we do with that the show had gotten back Neil Patrick Harris for another stint, even though it did feel like his appearance last season was mostly just to promote “Best Week Ever.” We love Neil!
The Judge Cuts are slated to begin on July 12, meaning that we’ve still got some auditions to go, even if the judges all have used their golden buzzers so far on various acts. At least Nick Cannon is going to get an opportunity this time.
