‘Royal Pains’ season 8, episode 7 preview: The musical episode before series finale

Yes, it definitely does get us a little bit emotional to think that we’re almost at the end of “Royal Pains.” There are two episodes to go beyond tonight’s installment, and in the process of that, we could see some key revelations taking place on “The Good News Is…” airing on USA next week. After all, they have to start creating the trajectory that gets us to the finale, since otherwise you really do run the risk of not having an ending that is particularly satisfying or ties together all necessary loose ends.

Want to get a few details as to what to expect beyond what we’ve said above? The attached synopsis at least makes things a little bit more specific:

“Theater legend Annette comes to the Hamptons for a wedding and reluctantly enlists Hank’s help. Hank tries to reconcile Eddie and Evan, while Paige eagerly awaits pregnancy test results.”

Let’s hope that Paige’s test is positive, so she and Evan can spend the finale celebrating! Also, we think that the finale should really revolve around the core of the show, and that is the relationship between Hank and his brother, who first came to the Hamptons eight years ago and started a new life for themselves. While we’d like to see some movement in Hank’s love life, to us that is not as important as the idea of him getting his life together, or the brothers figuring out if they will be staying in the Hamptons … and seeing what their future holds in the process.

Update: After seeing the preview tonight, we really should’ve led with the musical part, right?
