‘Wayward Pines’ video: About the creation of the Abbies

There is a new episode of “Wayward Pines” coming to Fox on Wednesday night, so what better way to prepare than to show how some of the Abbies at the center of the show are made?

In the video below, you can take a fairly interesting look at the creation of these characters, including what is required of the actors who play them. Let’s just say that they need to undergo a pretty rigorous process in order to take on the true form of the characters you see on the show, including the removal of body hair, the application of prosthetics, and some fake teeth that truly make it look as though their teeth are rotting out of their mouth.

The Abbies are going to play an increasingly significant role on this series, so that is something that you do need to further prepare yourself for. After all, they are going to be essential to solving some mysteries within the town, and a female Abbie will be especially significant to the story tonight. We do want to get some further answers here sooner rather than later, so hopefully some more will be coming soon.

Even if they’re not, watching videos like the one below at least do give us a further bit of appreciation about the sort of work that goes into creating some of these people, and how there are no apparently shortcuts. It’s a process similar in some ways to what was done with the walkers over on “The Walking Dead.”
