‘Big Brother 18’: What to expect from the house, the twists, and two-hour premiere

Big Brother -In just under 24 hours from the time of this writing, “Big Brother” is going to be back with its 18th season on the air. Who’s excited? This is a chance for us to see some drama, some intentional comedy, some unintentional comedy, and hopefully a little bit of strategy. It really just all depends on the season and the cast.

Before we get around to Wednesday night’s premiere episode, we thought that we’d go ahead and give you at least a few details in terms of what could be coming up here.

1. The house theme – The video below makes it clear that the show is going for an international theme, which is somewhat ironic given that we just finished watching a season in Canada that featured international houseguests. Sadly, no Tim Dormer this time around…

2. Returning players – It seems assured that we’re getting them, and while we’ve heard many familiar names thrown about the past two weeks, we’re taking a wait-and-see approach here. There will be more than likely four of them, which brings our cast up to 16. That seems right since we do have these people locked up for a good 99 days. You need this big of a cast for it to work!

3. The twists – There will be something in place of Battle of the Block; we know that you want to be excited, but just remember some of the stuff we’ve seen before and remember it may not be smart to do a victory dance just yet.

4. A two-hour premiere – It’s a little odd to get two hours tomorrow and then another hour on Thursday, and it makes us think either one of two things: There is either something special going on regarding the returning players, or we are getting a quick eviction a la season 14. Don’t let the latter happen; it was so unfair to Jodi! Also, we hate it when we don’t even get to see someone on the feeds.
