‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7 spoilers: Show boss on upcoming engagement story

For all of those who love “Pretty Little Liars,” rest assured that there is a heck of an entertaining ride ahead. There will be possible deaths, there will be big reveals, but rest assured that there will also be some romance! It’s certainly been hinted already that there is a big engagement coming at some point this season, and in speaking in a new interview with Variety, show creator Marlene King was willing to give out at least a few more details about who could be involved in that:

“I think for fans of the original ships, it’s going to be a very magical and rewarding proposal. I cried and a lot of people cried at the table read for that episode, and I really cried when I saw it. You don’t have to wait for the finale to see it. I think it’s going to make a lot of people happy!”

What we do love about the decision to pair someone off a little bit earlier is that it allows for some flexibility in storytelling, and it keeps the show from doing that annoying thing where you wait almost for the entirety of the series in order to see your favorite characters together. The idea of fans having to wait that long for it is really cruel, since you want to see people together.

Luckily, this comment more or less confirms that this will happen, and you will at least see a few episodes of characters as an engaged couple. Granted, that’s no guarantee that they get married, but with this show we’ll take almost any step in the right direction that we can.
