‘Royal Pains’ season 8, episode 6 preview: Is Eddie in grave danger?

There are only a few episodes left of “Royal Pains” before the series finale airs on USA, and we’re starting to feel as though the producers want to do everything in their power to make you sweat. The promo below makes it clear that there are higher stakes for the final three episodes, and the health of Evan and Hank’s father Eddie will be top priority.

Would the show really write off Henry Winkler by killing his character off? We hope not, mostly because we do feel like there is a much larger story to be told here with this character and his fractured relationship with his sons still as he tries to seek some redemption for his past. It’s been addressed on and off here over the years, and we like the idea that in the future, they will continue to work on this.

Granted, Eddie is not the only issue that the Lawson brothers have on their plate in the final episodes. For Hank, he has to realize that he needs to have a place to call home, and prepare to have a proper life there rather than just living at Shadow Pond until the end of his days. Meanwhile, Evan is still working through IVF in order to have a child with Paige. These two guys are going to have their hands full, and there are some big decisions that need to be made before we get around to the end of the road.
