‘Mistresses’ season 4, episode 3 video: Karen learns something new about her ‘manny’

Given that many of our characters on “Mistresses” at this point are in some sort of romantic relationship, the writers of this show had a challenge going into this season: How do you find a way to keep some sort of spark alive, especially when none of these women are even really mistresses anymore?

Well, we do seem to have some sort of answer to that courtesy of the sneak peek video below! In this, you have a chance to see Kate embark on a speed-dating journey thanks to a new app, which is basically the show’s version of Tinder. Here, she meets a number of different guys, and through the advice of Karen, Joss, and April, she has multiple ones set up over the course of a single night. She questions whether or not this all is the right move for her given the fact that she just moved to Los Angeles, but they encourage her to go for it!

From here, we get the biggest surprise as Karen realizes that none other than her “manny” Robert is someone on the app! This catches her completely off-guard, and to be honest, we don’t quite blame her. She admits to the other women that the two just slept together, so she’s not entirely sure how unattached the guy is anymore. Their relationship is certainly complicated, and from here, maybe Kate realizes that these people are not necessarily the best to go to when it comes to advice.
