‘Shades of Blue’ season 2 spoilers: Who’s being recast?
Given that recastings have become at least fairly common practice over the past several months, we really cannot say that we’re altogether shocked one is happening now with “Shades of Blue” season 2.
According to a new report from TVLine, Lolita Davidovich, who played the wife to Ray Liotta’s character of Matt Wozniak on the show, has departed over what are apparently scheduling issues. Meanwhile, Margaret Colin of “Gossip Girl” has been cast for the recurring role instead. Clearly, the show starring Jennifer Lopez, which is now filming its second season for NBC, still has big plans for this character and did not want to get rid of her.
Will season 2 match the intensity of the first season, and have as strong of a story from start to finish? That remains to be seen, but we imagine that we could see the premiere at some point in the new year.
This announcement is just one of many big bits of scoop that we’ve seen on the show as of late. For one, we’ve learned that Anna Gunn of “Breaking Bad” fame is going to be playing a huge character on the second season; meanwhile, be prepared to also see a whole lot more of the love life for Lopez’s character of Harlee. We will of course have some other news on the show as it comes out, since we have to assume that so much more is going to be coming. Be on the lookout for that in the coming days!
