‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: Expect a slow reveal with Big Bad

Going into the first season of “Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW, we already had the knowledge that the Big Bad for the year was going to be Vandal Savage. Therefore, we had a lot of time in which our expectations could be framed. Maybe in some ways that hurt the show, since everyone had a lot of time to build up what they wanted to see on the series moving forward. Before that, the DC Comics universe on The CW was a little more secretive going into past season. Take, for example, what we had with the Reverse-Flash on season 1 of “The Flash,” or Slade Wilson / Deathstroke on season 2 of “Arrow.”

With this in mind, we’re not shocked to see that “Legends” is going in a little bit more of a mysterious route going into the second season. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim had the following to say:

“Unlike season 1 of Legends, where we basically had the big bad introduced in the crossover, what we’re going to do in season 2 of Legends will be more similar to what you’ve experienced in the first three seasons of Arrow or the first two seasons of Flash, where it’s more of a slow reveal and a little bit of a mystery.”

There are some rumors of course out there about Big Bads and whatnot, but we’ll wait and see when one is officially announced. We imagine that we could know by the time the show premieres on October; really, we’re not so interested who it is as much as just that we hope they are entertaining.
