Seth Meyers offers Donald Trump role in fake ‘Chicago Fire’ spin-off (video)
Seth Meyers has come up with a few ways to keep to “feud” going between himself and Donald Trump, even if it is not really that much of a feud at all.
Earlier this week, the back-and-forth started with Meyers proclaiming that the Presidential candidate was “banned” from his show “Late Night” after he had banned the Washington Post, one of the most prestigious publications out there in the political world, from his events over what he personally believed to be unfair coverage of some of what was going on. Meyers acknowledged in the process of doing the banning that Trump had zero interest in going on his show anyway, so it really was not that difficult of a move for him to make.
From there, Trump blasted the late-night host and his “low ratings,” saying that Meyers had “begged” him to do the show previously and he refused. A slight exaggeration, sure (especially since Seth is the top late-night host in this timeslot), but that’s a Trump comment for you when it comes to bluster.
Now, Meyers has “offered” up Trump a role on his very own edition of Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise … sort of. Or, not really at all. Either way, the video below is a funny riff not only on NBC, but also on those people out there who have said that Trump really doesn’t want to be President, and he’s now just trying to come up with a way out for himself since he never imagined that he would get so far in the election.
What do you think: Would you watch a “Chicago President” show, and do you love the fun digs at NBC that Meyers’ show is throwing in here? Share your thoughts with a comment.
