‘Royal Pains’ season 8, episode 6 preview: ‘Home Sick,’ Eddie’s return, and more

We are starting to get near the end of “Royal Pains” not only for the season, but also the series as a whole. It’s an emotional thing to think about, especially when you consider that next week’s new episode “Home Sick” could be the last time specifically you see a number of different things. For example, could it be the last time Henry Winkler turns up as Eddie? We don’t know the answer to that, but we’re preparing ourselves for it right now so we’re not disappointed later.

For now, the synopsis below gives you a little bit more information regarding what we can expect to see here:

“Hank meets a woman selling her house for health reasons. Eddie has made a major medical decision without consulting Hank. Evan and Paige continue the IVF process Jeremiah is furious at Boris.”

Through this episode, we’ll hopefully at least be set up for the final episodes this season, and that (hopefully) includes giving us some closure. We’d like to see Evan and Paige expecting by the end of this, just as we’d like to see Hank at least have some hope for his romantic future. We don’t really think the show is meant to show him with his Ms. / future Mrs. Right, though; this show is almost more emblematic of a certain period of time in the lives of Evan and Hank Lawson, where they were trying to find themselves and figure out their futures. By the end of the series, maybe they have what they’ve been looking for.
