‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7, episode 1 video: Spencer Hastings meets Mary Drake

The season 7 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be airing on Freeform starting on Tuesday night, and based on the sneak peek below, the first meeting between Spencer Hastings and Jessica DiLaurentis’ mysterious-but-evil twin Mary Drake is going to be more than a little bit awkward.

We’re not going to say that there is anything that is completely of substances in this preview, mostly because it’s largely a case of seeing two characters feel each other out. We know that Spencer has been through quite a bit over the course of the series, just as we also know that Mary Drake probably has her own history that is far more extensive than any characters on the show could ever realize.

By the end of the premiere, we suspect that most of the Liars will have a little bit of a better understanding on Mary, and at the same time, hopefully we’re also going to have a chance to figure out whether or not Hanna will be okay. We would certainly be shocked to learn that something happens to her, and we just think that little touches like the photo above are more designed to be a misdirect than anything else. After all, this is a show that likes to keep us on our toes!

This is far from the only sneak peek we imagine we’ll be getting for the premiere. Therefore, stay tuned for some other clips over the course of the coming days! It should be a pretty darn crazy hour.
