‘Person of Interest’ season 5, episode 13 (series finale): ‘Return 0,’ and the end of the road
We’ve had a wonderful time chronicling the journey of “Person of Interest” over the years, but unfortunately, all things must end … and with this show, it could very well do so in an emotional ball of fire. Throughout the series, there has been a fundamental battle between the Machine and Samaritan, and it has been truly captivating to watch. In one way or another, “Return 0” is going to wrap things up, and force our characters into decisions that are so much more pointed and high-stakes than anything that they have done so far. Not only that, but there’s a good chance that this mission could bring everyone together.
Want to get some more news right now in terms of what you can expect? Then we suggest that you take a look at the attached synopsis:
“Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind, on the series finale.”
Is it possible that there could be something more to this story beyond the finale? We suppose that in theory, the answer here is yes since there is almost always room, unless you’re a show like “Lost,” to imagine what the series could do beyond a series finale. However, we’ve gotten multiple indications now that there will be a proper conclusion to the series finale, and one that answers at least the majority of fan questions. We will have a chance to learn so much more in due time.
Ultimately, we just cannot imagine the end tonight with Finch. Samaritan, and the Machine sticking completely.
