‘Royal Pains’ season 8, episode 5 video: Divya’s big ‘surprise’

The new season of “Royal Pains” has certainly been one littered with fun character moments and surprises … and you’re going to get yet another one on the new episode airing Wednesday! For some further evidence of this very thing, you really don’t have to look any further than the video below.

The setup for this promo is ultimately rather simple: Hank and company are getting set to deliver a surprise baby shower for Divya, but something is going to happen that will cause these plans to fall apart more or less in the blink of an eye. Why is that? Well, let’s just say there is a medical emergency. Really, there are few other shows quite like this one when it comes to completely surprising people with health issues. By the time we make it to Divya arriving, we’re going to see someone passed out on the ground in need of being shocked back to life.

Is this a serious situation? Certainly, but the thing you gotta remember here is that the tone of this series is not necessarily such that they are out to depress you. Therefore, don’t really assume the worst is coming, and try to focus on the positive instead. We’re in the back half of the final season now, and let’s hope along the way there are a few big developments that get us all the closer to the end.
