‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 2 preview: Where we go from here in ‘NSFW’
The fifth season of “Major Crimes” premiered on TNT with new episodes on Monday night, and it did so with an episode that picked up where season 4 left off, and it gave us a number of big stories for Sharon, Andy, Buzz, and others.
So where do we go from here on “NSFW” next week? Well, the official synopsis below gives you a little more information, including the return of Rusty’s mother into the world with some news that could surprise many out there:
“The murder of a detective in the Sex Crimes unit leads Major Crimes into the world of ‘barely legal’ [adult-oriented entertainment], where they find rampant drug use and questionable ethics. Meanwhile, Rusty’s biological mother, Sharon Beck (Ever Carradine) returns with some surprising news.”
By the time we make it to the end of this season, we imagine that some of these stories will be fleshed-out even more; we just hope that this could mean Sharon and Andy will be in an even-more secure place in their relationship than ever before. Fingers crossed.
As for the nature of this upcoming case, we have a feeling that this will be one that is certainly complicated for a show on TNT to explore given that it is something that is typically reserved more for premium cable. Rest assured that we’re going to have some other news when it comes to this installment moving forward this week, so stay tuned for more!

Matt, this description blew me away too, especially given the network. James Duff had made a comment in a video that Jonathan Del Arco had done, that with the time change, they could go a bit more risqué. I guess they weren’t kidding.
