‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 4 preview: Will anyone go postal during ‘Post Mortem’?

Tonight, we got a new episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” entitled “Cops vs. Zombies” that proved once more that where the show shines, at least to us, are in the silly cases of the week that still somehow manage to show the heart and the passion of our main characters. Few other series, particularly in this drama, combine the comedy and the drama quite like this one!

Next week, we could be doing this a little bit more with “Post Mortem,” an episode that, at least on the surface, sounds like it could be pretty fun! However, at the same time we do know that there are going to be some serious events that take place, especially when it comes to the Maura character as we get the continuation of her brain injury story that first was unveiled earlier this season in the premiere. Take a look at the attached synopsis for some other news when it comes to what to expect:

“When a mailman is killed, the team must work with a brash, eccentric Postal Inspector, who believes the mailman’s murder is part of a larger conspiracy. Maura continues to struggle with the ramifications of her injury and Angela intervenes when she discovers Korsak has gotten Kiki (guest star Christina Chang) a terrible birthday present.”

Ultimately, we do think that this story sounds like it’s going to provide a little bit of everything you want in this final season; it will harken back to some of the great moments that we’ve seen on the show over the years, while at the same time further along a few important, character-specific stories that we know most will be excited to see.
