‘Preacher’ episode 4 video: Cassidy tries to give Jesse a warning

On Sunday night’s new episode of “Preacher” on AMC, we’re going to see Cassidy try his best to convince Jesse Custer of one thing, and one thing only: Nothing is precisely as it seems. As a matter of fact, this is a super-chaotic world that we’re living in, one where you do have people following characters all over the country.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Cassidy try to explain to Jesse the truth about some of the “vampire hunters” that he very recently came into contact with, and how they are certainly not what he first thought. Unfortunately for Cassidy, the problem here is that this particular preacher really isn’t having anything of his comments at all. He’s not altogether interested in listening, and seems much more inclined in going about his own business.

Should you be that surprised by this? Not really, given that for the vast majority of this season to date, we have seen the Jesse character effectively swing one way or another on a pendulum. There are times when he wants to keep the preacher title and try to live up to what he personally believes to be the right way to live. However, at other moments there is also that fire from a former life within him; we saw it come out with Donnie on this past episode, and you never quite know precisely when that could come out again.
