‘The X Factor’ UK: Supposed salaries for Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger revealed
Just in case you’ve ever been insanely curious for whatever reason to learn precisely how much the judges for “The X Factor” are being paid, we suppose that this is precisely what this article is all about … well, at least the majority of the panel not named Simon Cowell. You can go ahead and fill in “more money than God” as his salary and be done with it.
Per a report from the Mirror, Nicole Scherzinger is the highest-paid judge on the panel this year at 1.8 million British pounds, which is the equivalent of $2.56 million American. Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne will acquire 1.7 million pounds (roughly over $2.4 million) and Louis Walsh will score a million, otherwise known as around $1.42 million. What’s somewhat surprising about this is that, per a source, Sharon was originally set to make more than any other panelist besides Simon:
“During negotiations, Sharon stipulated that she had to be the highest- paid judge … But what she doesn’t know is that Nicole is set to pocket an extra £125,000.This will surely anger Sharon, who feels she’s worth more than Nicole … She’s more experienced after sitting on the panel for five series, compared to Nicole’s two.”
Ultimately, these are still fantastic deals for the judges no matter how you slice them; while they may seem extreme, consider that there are some judges for American talent shows that have been paid in excess of $10 million for a season of service. Compared to some of that, this feels like a bargain.
