‘America’s Got Talent’: Watch lyric video to Grace VanderWaal’s ‘I Don’t Know My Name’

Last week on “America’s Got Talent,” Howie Mandel chose to use his golden buzzer on a young singer in Grace VanderWaal who has certainly taken the country by storm … and not just for her singing. For such a young performer, she’s also got a knack for songwriting!

It’s with that in mind that the show is doing something we can’t recall them ever doing before in more than a decade on the air: Releasing a lyric video for her audition song in “I Don’t Know My Name.” It’s a simply little video, but this is not something we could see the show doing unless they were pretty serious about someone being a pretty genuine contender to make it far in the competition. Grace already is going to the live shows, and we certainly imagine the public being behind her.

The one thing we do hope is that through this entire process, she is continuing to have fun and staying inspired by everything. It must be exciting in some way to be so young and have the attention of much of the country, but there could be an intimidation or pressure that comes along with it.
