‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ season 11: What Vicki Gunvalson, cast will be up to in premiere

While the new season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” may not be upon us officially until we roll around to June 20, but we do have at least a few small details for you now to tide you over! We’re going to meet a new housewife this season in Kelly Dodd, and based on the short description for the first episode per TV Guide, she is going to waste almost no time before causing some drama:

“A sprawling boat party, complete with mounting drama, marks the Season 11 premiere. Also: Vicki fights to win the ladies back; Shannon scouts for a family home; and newbie wife Kelly Dodd’s big personality (and loud mouth) stirs up trouble.”

Basically, this premiere has almost everything that you would expect from the first episode of a season, most notably the party that goes completely off the rails to the point that some terrible things go down. It’s definitely something we’re familiar to seeing with this franchise, and with that, it’s something that will probably continue to define it in one way or another the rest of the run.

For Vicki Gunvalson in particular, we really hope that this is a better season given that she spent season 10 either having to deal with personal tragedy, or having to be surrounded by all of the Brooks Ayers health drama. That really bogged down the entire second half of the season, and made it entertainment-wise our least favorite season quite possibly of any version of the franchise. We are more than happy to be moving on from that.
