‘Murder in the First’ season 3 video: A high-profile case lies ahead

The third season of “Murder in the First” is going to be premiering on TNT come Sunday, June 19, and based on the trailer below, it is looking increasingly likely that this may be the most intense, harrowing season we’ve seen so far as the entire city of San Francisco could be up in arms.

Based on this clip, much of the unrest is going to begin following what appears to be the death of a high-profile athlete. With that of course comes an investigation that is going to make it exponentially harder for Terry and Hildy to do their job than it would be normally … and you certainly cannot forget that this is an extremely difficult job in the first place for anyone to do. This leads to pressure, and in turn, it may lead to the shooting of the wrong man.

From here, it looks as though things could turn political and racially-charged over the shooting of a black man by the police, which of course has been a hot-button topic in the news and has also been featured in many other crime TV shows, whether it be “Chicago PD” or “Blue Bloods.” “Murder in the first” is ultimately a darker, grittier show than either of them, so there is some interest in our part to see how they handle such complicated, sensitive material.
