‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 5 preview: ‘Girl Meets Triangle’ and a key Maya story

While Maya is always a key cog within “Girl Meets World,” she is for the most part a foil for Riley. However, there have a few episodes in which her story shines front and center, and for the first time in season 3, next week’s “Girl Meets Triangle” may be one of them. It’s a chance to dive back into her interest in art, while at the same exact time, also question the present state of her friendship with Riley.

“Maya’s identity crisis kicks into full gear when her art teacher makes her realize her friendship with Riley may be affecting her artist’s voice.”

Will this also be an episode that dives further into the Maya – Lucas – Riley love triangle? Given the name of the episode, we of course wonder. Also, we do feel like that is something that does need to be addressed sooner rather than later, mostly since having it remain in limbo without that much discussion is rather weird. It’s something that in real life these characters would be talking about, and while we know this is scripted television (and in this case, one meant for younger viewers), we do think it is an issue that needs to be addressed in due time. We’ll have some more on this episode later in the weekend, and we’ll get a chance to learn more then.
