‘The Bachelorette’: JoJo Fletcher villain Chad Johnson officially on board

Chad -Sure, there has been speculation for quite some time that Chad Johnson was going to be a participant on this upcoming “Bachelor in Paradise” season, but we can today go ahead and lock it in: The man is likely causing some havoc in Mexico as we speak.

In a post on Twitter (see below), executive producer Mike Fleiss made it clear that JoJo Fletcher’s biggest villain from this season of “The Bachelorette” is down there, and it’s probably not going altogether well given what we’ve seen from this guy over time. (Then again, Fleiss would probably hype up Chad even if he was just ordering a drunk and lounging around by the ocean.)

We’re sure that Chad’s casting will lead to a mixed reaction. There are those who love the entertainment he brings to the show, and then others who think he’s just a giant tool who threatens people and has violent tendencies. At first, we admit we were #TeamChad when it was just him mostly trolling the other guys, but the threats and the door-punching and the Evan-attacking was just too much, and we don’t get the appeal of bringing someone on who other people seem to be genuinely afraid of.

Yet, this is “Bachelor in Paradise,” and it’s a show where this sort of stuff tends to happen often. Maybe Chad will look at this as a redemption story … or maybe he’ll crash and burn even more. We’ll have a chance to know for sure later this summer.
