‘Suits’ season 6 promo: Mike Ross looks back on the past

It’s hard to recap five seasons of “Suits” over the course of just thirty seconds, but we gotta give the latest promo from USA below some credit for at least trying.

In this preview, you can see the show look back at everything that has happened to get us to the point where we are now, where Mike Ross is now serving time for conspiracy to commit fraud. His imprisonment comes as a direct result of his actions, and in making the decision to go to jail, this is him owning his past mistakes. He wouldn’t let Harvey or anyone else take the fall for him, even though he’s also hardly playing the martyr here, either, given that many other characters have also received their own brand of heartache as a result of his choices. Everyone is suffering, but he has put himself in a position where they may not be struggling as much as they would otherwise.

Some of the tension to come out of season 6 will stem from seeing how Mike survives behind bars, and also what he wants to do on the other side of his time. Meanwhile, outside of prison Harvey, Louis, and Jessica have to deal with the shambles that are Pearson Specter Litt and figure out if there is a way to get their business back on track.

Basically, we’re being set up for a comeback story like no other. “Suits” has never started with its characters in a lower place in life, so there is really no direction for them to go other than up.
