‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’ spotlight: Will Jared Haibon find love on his second trip?
Yesterday, some of the first cast members for “Bachelor in Paradise” season 3 were announced, and we vowed to do our part to share some spotlights given you a quick catch-up on some of the contestants, their history on the show, and why they are being brought on in the first place.
Today, we’re ready to focus on Jared Haibon, a man known for romancing Kaitlyn Bristowe, a goatee that got him some grief on social media, and also a relationship with Ashley Iaconetti that went south fairly quickly on this past season of the show. Will he have a better chance in Paradise this coming season? Let’s dive into that now.
Show experience – He lasted for a while on Kaitlyn’s season, and had some one-on-one time with her. In a season that was filled with drama (mostly when it comes to Shawn Booth vs. Nick Viall), he was one of the more lighthearted contenders. Last season in “Paradise,” he was more steeped in drama just because Ashley seemed much more into him than he was into her. The two broke up, but the two confirmed to People Magazine earlier this year that they have become really good friends off-camera.
Romance potential – High. The reason that Jared is being brought back is probably because producers feel like he is a guy who could actually find love through this experience if the right person turns up. They’ll have plenty of other lightning rods for drama, so they don’t really need Jared for that. They’d probably like to have him be like Tanner last season.
Drama potential – It’s dependent on who he dates. If there are people fighting over Jared, we could see him being afraid to hurt someone and causing problems. Or, there could be drama if he’s paired with someone else like Ashley. We’re excited to see Jared this season just because we like him as a character, and who knows? Maybe he’ll have a little more success this time.
