‘Scream Queens’ season 2 star Lea Michele finds time for Hulu anthology gig
While Lea Michele has a rather-busy schedule courtesy of “Scream Queens” season 2, she’s apparently found the time to do something a little bit different and experimental over on Hulu.
Sources confirm that Michele (otherwise known mostly from “Glee”) will be appearing on “Dimension 404,” an anthology show that over the course of six episodes, will play around with the idea of various corners of the internet. This show be interesting to see, especially since Robert Buckley of “iZombie” fame is also going to be appearing.
Per TVLine, Michele will be taking on the part here of Amanda, a character who takes to the internet in hopes of a relationship after a breakup. She ends up coming across Adam, a guy who is very interested in her … to the point where he proclaims that he loves her a little bit quicker than he probably should. Ultimately, things don’t go well, and this breakup ends up being even messier than the one that she was already involved in.
These anthology shows are one of the many reasons that we’re glad so many different mediums exist now for television. Sure, it does mean that there is a lot more for us to dive into as a writer about TV, but it also gives people more opportunities to tell unique stories! We’re far from being in a place now where there are 24-episode procedurals and nothing else.
The second season of “Scream Queens” is going to premiere on Fox a little bit later this fall; stay tuned for some other updates!
