‘Criminal Minds’ season 12: Adam Rodriguez opens up about series-regular gig
Earlier today, there was some rather great news that came out from the world of “Criminal Minds,” as it was confirmed that “CSI: Miami” and “Empire” alum Adam Rodriguez would be the latest edition to the show. There isn’t too much known about his character just yet, but he will appear in the majority of the episodes (if not all of them) and help to fill the void left by the departure of Shemar Moore, who left during season 11 to pursue some other things.
So what does Rodriguez have to say today about joining the show? This is something that the actor explained in a new post on Instagram:
“Just wanted to say how happy I am to be joining the cast of this great show! I look forward to working with the family of people involved in making this such a long standing hit and to entertaining all of the wonderful fans that have made it possible!”
We do think that Rodriguez has all of the tools to be a great addition to the show, but it’s probably going to be a little while before we know whether or not he is going to really shine in the series.Much of it is going to depend on who is character is, what he’s like, and how he relates to some of the other members in the cast. It’ll probably be an adjustment period, mostly because this is the sort of experience we tend to have with the majority of new cast members coming aboard.
