TV Quick Hits: ‘Masters of Sex’ season 4 casting; ‘Marco Polo’ trailer; Cristin Milioti pilot
New Cristin Milioti pilot – Over the past few years, Milioti has had an opportunity to appear on two of the biggest TV franchises out there in “How I Met Your Mother” and “Fargo.” In kicking off our new TV Quick Hits piece today, we are pleased to say that she has a chance now to land her own series.
FX announced today that Milioti and Nasim Pedrad (“Saturday Night Live”) are working on a comedy project in which they will star, executive-produce, and write the pilot for. The show is also coming from the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” team of Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, and Rob McElhenney, so there’s probably going to be a signature stamp put on it comedically.
We’ll have to see what happens here, but for now, let’s move along to some other scoop from the day.
“Masters of Sex” casting news – It feels like it’s been a while since we were able to share any insight from the world of Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” so we’re certainly happy to bring you something new today!
In a post on Twitter, Erin Karpluk of “Being Erica” confirmed that she is going to be a part of the upcoming fourth season, which is premiering on Showtime a little bit later this year.
“Marco Polo” trailer – On Friday, July 1, the epic series is going to return to Netflix with all of its season 2 episodes … but why wait that long to check out the trailer? If this is an indicator of everything that is coming up, it is probably fair to say that we are in for some rather epic times moving forward.
