‘Person of Interest’ season 5, episode 12 preview: ‘.EXE’ brings us closer to series finale
Tonight, “Person of Interest” brought us much further to the end of the series with an episode with a few important moves in it … but let’s be honest: It was really hard to top the sort of jaw-dropping stuff that we saw the week before in between the death of Root and how it was ultimately constructed that she would become the de facto Machine.
Now, there are (insert tears) here only two more episodes left in the series, and there is a lot that this series has to resolve before it drops the final curtain. Much of that is going to begin with “.EXE” airing on CBS next week, and you can see the synopsis for that below:
“As Reese and Shaw race to catch up with Finch, he infiltrates a maximum-security government facility in a desperate mission which could mean the end for not only Samaritan, but for himself and The Machine as well.”
Doesn’t all of this sound like a super-strong, super-noble plan? Sure, but there is probably one little thing that you need to remember in the process here: There’s still another episode to go after this one! Therefore, we’ve got a really hard time imagining that we are going to get to the point where things start to be reasonably wrapped up before the series finale, since there are more intense stories left to tell and more jaws liable to be on the floor.
