‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Will Robby Hayes’ alleged ‘girlfriend’ drama surface soon on JoJo Fletcher’s seas?

If you recall back to early this season on “The Bachelorette,” we had a tease regarding contestant Robby Hayes and some claims as to whether or not he had a girlfriend prior to the start of filming. Do we really care too much about the controversy itself? Let’s just say it’s not a priority, since we hear the same thing three or four times every season on the show. It may be true sometimes, but our feeling tends to be that the majority of these guys who are truly terrible will get found out in due time. The jury’s still out on Robby; heck, the jury is still out on the controversy being on the show.

Are we going to see it at some point in the future? We have a feeling it could surface in the next few episodes, mostly for two reasons:

1. There isn’t that much time left – It’s not like “The Bachelorette” is a show known for having incredibly long seasons or anything.

2. We don’t imagine that Chad Johnson is sticking around forever. If he gets eliminated soon, then this ensures that there will be a whole lot of air time freed up for other people. For Robby, that may not end up being a good thing.

One thing that we feel pretty confident of is that the story of Robby really hasn’t been written yet. He’s obviously sticking around a while since that drama hasn’t been brought up yet, so it remains to be seen how it will manifest itself. Just be sure to stay tuned for some further updates as time goes on.

Update: Interestingly, it was quiet on the Robby front in the preview for the next new episode on May 20. We’ll see how long that lasts…
