‘Person of Interest’ season 5, episode 11 video: The Machine lends Finch a hand
You’ve waited for a week to get the aftermath of last week’s shocking “Person of Interest,” and there is some good news that comes out of the new sneak peek below: You’re going to at least get an opportunity to see how Amy Acker is going to continue to factor into the show, at least when it comes to her voice.
Sure, Root is dead, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there is anything coming up that is going to change that in any way. However, the sneak peek below does make it rather clear that she will remain the voice of the Machine now, who has chosen her voice to represent it; in many ways, you can say that she has become the Machine, which seems like a strong way to end her story given the inherent connection that was always there.
Also, it turns out that the Machine in this case is going to be extremely helpful ensuring that Finch gets out of a bind, as it manipulates a police officer’s computer to ensure that Harold doesn’t have anything to worry about. In one way or another, the character remains protected, and we have a feeling that is going to be extremely important as we look down the road at everything that is to come.
We’re as interested as anyone to see how this particular chapter is going to continue, and we’ll be back tonight with a full breakdown as a result of that. Meanwhile, we’ll also have a preview up for the episode that follows it next week, otherwise known as the penultimate one of the series.
