Claire -

For those eagerly awaiting some further news regarding the end of “Outlander” season 2, we’ve got a wide assortment of news for you about the tail end of the season, whether it be the finale date and also precisely when you will get a chance to see Sophie Skelton as Briana, one of the most anticipated characters within this universe.

Per TVLine, this episode is going to air on July 9, and to go along with that, we also now know that it is going to run for a full 90 minutes. By the time we make it to the end of the installment, we’ll see Bree as Claire heads back to Scotland with her then-20 year old daughter in 1968 to try to reconcile all of her past and the present. While there, we will also have a chance to see her first look at the grown-up Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin), and these scenes will take place alongside ones from the Battle of Culloden.

The synopsis below gives you a little more insight into just some of the dangerous developments that could rise to the surface over the course of this epic installment:

“When Jamie’s last-ditch attempts to deter The Prince fail, he and Claire come up with a dangerous plan — which Dougal overhears, inciting him to a murderous rage. Jamie must do everything he can to save the ones he loves, even if it means saying goodbye to some — or all — of them.”

At least you can make it through the episode with the knowledge of there being a third season coming at some point in the future. That helps when it comes to having something to look forward to beyond this point.
